Enterprise Ireland - eBusiness Self-Assessment Tool

Introduction The "eBusiness Self Assessment Tool" is an online tool designed to help Irish companies make optimum use of computers, websites and other information technologies to improve business performance. It automatically generates advice, tailored to the needs of your company, based on answers you submit. The tool has been specifically designed for managers of small and medium sized enterprises. It consists of an online multiple choice questionnaire which examines your company's business needs and IT capabilities. It uses the answers you give to automatically generate a report which: Suggests the types of eBusiness projects, which you should consider prioritising. Suggests the types of improvements in IT infrastructure and IT management that may be needed before implementing such projects. Benchmarks your company's IT capabilities and needs against the average answers of the companies which have previously used the tool. No knowledge of IT is required to use the tool or to understand the recommendations that are generated. However, in order to answer the questions accurately, you need to be familiar with the day to day functional operations of your company as well as the business challenges it faces and the strategic direction the company wishes to move.
Time required
The questionnaire takes about 15 - 20 minutes to complete. After which tailored advice and benchmark results will be made available.
How to access the tool
Registration is free and simple. We recommend you register before starting to answer the questionnaire. If you do so you will receive the full benefits of the tool. Register here for a comprehensive report and benchmarking analysis. However, it is possible to complete the questionnaire without registering. However, if you do so, you will receive a less comprehensive report and your answers will not be used for benchmarking purposes. This means that you will not be told how you compare against other companies. Click here for the limited reporting option.
